Elberfeld Fire Department

The Elberfeld Vol Fire Department was founded in 1951 with approximately 20 volunteer members. EVFD began with a 1926 Model T, a 1952 Ford pumper, and a Willeys Jeep. The Model T is still operational today and is used for parades. EVFD has three 56 year members that are still active in the department.

Currently 28 men and women volunteer their time to serve the Elberfeld Vol. Fire Department.
The department serves the Town of Elberfeld along with Greer & Campbell townships.
There are currently 5 state certified Emergency Medical Technicians and 3 First Responders
All firefighters are certified minimum of Basic Firefighter up to Master Firefighter.
In 2006, Elberfeld Fire responded to 125 Fire and Medical emergencies.
Elberfeld Fire operates with 2 Engines/Pumpers, 1 Rescue Squad, 3 Brush Units, 1 Tanker and newly purchased ATR2 All Terrain Res-Q unit.
